I use .05 tretinoin 5 times/week. can I still use this cream as part of my nighttime routine?

I just started using Ageless overnight cream and ageless cleanser. I’m following the recommendations on the website, and when I’ve used the overnight cream, I’ve felt intense burning after application for about 15- 20 minutes. I’m also seeing some mild peeling and redness around my nose and mouth areas. My questions are: is this usual? Will it fade over time with continued use? Or is this not the most suitable product for me? I would like to continue using Image products, but want to be sure I have the right regimen. Thanks for your help! Marie Chustz

Due to the active ingredients in this product it can seem a little active to the skin in the beginning. Your skin does take some time to adjust to these ingredients and get used to them. We would recommend starting off very slowly when using the product. We would recommend trying it only 1-2 a week at night. Then after a few weeks and your skin is getting acclimated to it, you can switch that to 4 a week. Then eventually you can try using it every night. We do not recommend using it morning & evening ever. This can cause dryness to the skin if overused. If you notice your skin becomes irritated again after increasing the use, go back to 1-2 a week.

Hello Heather. Yes, this can occur due to the the product having retinol. We recommend at first not using it daily (try 1-2 times a week first) and also make sure you are using a good daytime moisturizer as well. I would recommend any of the Vital C Line.

Can I use a moisturizer after putting on this cream?

If you are looking to use a moisturizer with this product we would recommend applying a hydrating serum first and letting it dry down on the skin, then applying this. Or if you are looking to keep hydration in the skin, we would recommend using this on alternating schedules with a hydrating nighttime creme for the nights you do not use this.

I purchased this thinking it was an antioxidant PM moisturizer, but I am still excited about using it! I love all Image products. Can I use this product in the evenings along with another retinol product? Or should I alternate each evening and only use one product at a time? Thanks!

No, this should not be used in addition to other retinol products due to the active ingredient blend. If used with additional retinol it could be irritating to the skin as that would be very active to the skin.
